The participants are invited to give talks and/or to deliver papers for the published proceedings of the conference. As at the earlier conferences, we expect to publish the proceedings in the Birkhäuser series Progress in Probability. The talks or papers could be current research or broader perspective surveys.
Organizing Committee: Michael Marcus (CUNY, USA), Jon A. Wellner (University of Seattle, USA) and J. Hoffmann-Jørgensen (University of Aarhus, Denmark).
The conference is supported by the MaPhySto Centre which is funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and we do have some (limited) resources for subsidizing accommodation and/or travel expenses. We have applied to various other sources for more support. Notification is anticipated in the spring of 2002.
As the capacity of the Estate is limited to 60 rooms we cannot assure that every one interested can participate. All participants will be placed in single rooms, but some of the rooms (in each of the two categories) have two beds and it is possible to bring your family. Accompanying persons must pay the ordinary room price but no conference fee.
The current price per day is DKK 820 (approx. USD 103) for category 1 rooms, and DKK 695 (approx. USD 87) for category 2 rooms, but is subject to (minor) changes. The prices include the room for one night, 3 meals and coffee before and after noon. The conference fee is DKK 500 (approx. USD 63) and includes a banquet dinner and a bux excursion to the march land of the West Coast of Jutland.
