Hanne Schultz

Hi, my name is Hanne, and I am a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark, Odense. I have been living in Odense ever since I was born there in 1979. In 1998 I began my studies at the former University of Odense. After two years and a detour into physics and chemistry I decided to study mathematics with physics as my minor. Analysis was (and still is) my favourite mathematical subject. Today I am a student of the PhD school OP-ALG-TOP-GEO and a member of the department's research group in operator algebras. Uffe Haagerup is my advisor. My main research interests are in free probability and random matrix theory, and my first preprint is on the limiting behaviour of certain classes of random matrices as the dimension of the matrices tends to infinity.
